The primary objectives of the Vice President are to develop and implement a sales and go-to-market strategy that drives dynamic, profitable growth and increases the company’s presence in the industry. This individual will supervise, train and inspire the outside and inside sales teams to meet or exceed their annual sales quota by developing deep relationships with key decision makers and influencers; providing consultation and value-added solutions to enhance our retail customers’ brands and performance; and ultimately drive opportunities through the sales pipeline using a structured sales process that leads to converted business. They will work closely with the marketing and product development teams to develop new products and commercial initiatives. They will ensure that the sales team works collaboratively with the operations and customer service teams to provide fulfillment excellence of our products and solutions.

Essential Functions:

Develop and implement marketing and sales strategy to achieve company growth.Develop competitive advantages, pricing recommendations, selection and development of staff, compensation packages, channel strategies, new business development, and customer retention. Coordinates the preparation, review, and analysis of detailed and accurate monthly revenue forecasts and annual budgets by brand for financial reporting and production planning purposes.Active contributor to our S&OP process and committee, creating open communication between the sales team and operations to ensure for supply is meeting demand.Establishes overall national sales objectives and quotas and assists sales personnel in achieving the objectives.Meets with President to review previous month’s sales results and to present recommendations for actions to be taken to improve performance and fill gaps against annual revenue commitment.Monitors sales team performance regularly to ensure the maintenance of positive and proactive company-customer relationships.Builds upon existing customer relationships by researching and responding to customer needs so that they are met or exceeded.Provides direction and support to Manager of Inside Sales to organize Inside Sales Team so that it most effectively meets the needs of our customer base, management and external sales team.Develops a formal sales training program and meeting schedule for sales team that effectively achieves company goals.Leads team to contact current and prospective customers, and visits customers’ locations to solicit additional sales of products.Serves as a member of the Pricing Steering Committee and leads the execution of pricing changes to achieve contribution margin targets and maintain or grow market position.Maintains an awareness of trends in the industry and competitors’ positions within the industry and communicates significant changes to the Leadership team.  Serve as a Gatekeeper / decision maker for New Product Development projects.  Evaluates new product requests from customers and internal team for strategic fit, feasibility, priority, and market opportunity before they are added to the development pipeline and resources are assigned. Supports development of and execution against Strategic Marketing Plan objectives to drive long-term growth.Administers and oversees enhancements to CRM tool, ensuring the Sales team utilizes it to organize and track customer contacts, opportunities, sales activities, quotes, and trials.Recruits, hires and trains creative, resourceful, and high performing sales force.

Must be highly organized, detail-oriented, accurate and timely.Strong written and verbal communication skills and credibility when interacting with Unit, Group and Sector level management teams.Strong excel skills are preferred.Ability to achieve results through both directly and indirectly managed teams. Skills and Abilities:

Bachelor’s degree in business management, marketing or related discipline and 7-10 years’ related leadership experience or training, equivalent combination of education and experience in an internal and external selling environment required.MBA preferred.Strong track record of sales and sales management in retail or like industry. Superior sales, motivational and sales management abilities; the perception of recognizing potential in other salespeople and the skills to train and develop those individuals to their maximum potential. Creative and resourceful.Extensive experience with CRM softwareExperience with Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint), SmartSheets, CRM

Working Conditions: Work is performed under a hybrid arrangement, with one to two days in the Milwaukee office and remaining days remote. Hours of work will generally be during regular business hours with at least 40 hours a week. At times there will be some variation in work hours due to special projects, deadlines and other concerns. This position will require frequent travel, on average up to 40% of the time.
