Vice President of Supply Chain

The Vice President of Supply Chain will lead the development and execution of supply chain strategies to drive operational efficiency, scalability, and sustainable growth within the organization. This role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of supply chain operations, including planning, customer service, logistics, distribution, and transportation (both domestic and international). The Vice President will manage multiple distribution center operations, ensuring the seamless integration between manufacturing, logistics, and customer service functions, while continuously optimizing the supply chain network to meet evolving business needs. This position is located in Dallas, Texas. **Duties and Responsibilities of the Position:** + Lead and optimize the entire supply chain process, from planning through manufacturing thorough distribution, ensuring operational efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and alignment with business goals. + Develop and execute a 1-3 year strategic roadmap for the supply chain organization, aligning with the company’s vision and growth objectives, with a focus on sales, logistics, manufacturing, and customer service integration. + Oversee the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process, leveraging key analytics to inform strategic decision-making across all supply chain functions, ensuring alignment with production schedules and customer demands. + Drive the adoption and optimization of key systems and technologies (e.g., SAP ECC, SAP IBP, PIM, Power BI, Salesforce, SAP EWM) to enhance supply chain performance, especially in operations and multi-plant logistics management. + Provide leadership and mentorship to cross-functional teams, particularly within distribution, customer service, and logistics, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability. + Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams (sales, customer service, manufacturing plant leadership) and external partners (suppliers, transportation providers) to ensure smooth operations and achieve business objectives. + Lead change management initiatives, focusing on succession planning, talent development, and continuous improvement within customer service, planning, transportation, and distribution centers. + Oversee domestic and international transportation strategies, ensuring cost-effective and efficient movement of goods across all regions, and ensuring compliance with international shipping regulations. + Ensure transparent communication across the organization, particularly with the Manufacturing function, keeping teams informed and engaged with ongoing developments and strategic decisions. + Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activities, and best practices, adjusting supply chain strategies as necessary to maintain a competitive edge and meet future business demands. + Foster a participative leadership style, encouraging initiative, decision-making, and continuous improvement, while empowering teams to thrive in a dynamic, change-driven environment. **Required Experience and Education:** + Supply Chain experience related to direct multi-plant manufacturing is mandatory, including direct product and manufacturing planning experience + 10+ years of progressive experience in supply chain management, with 5+ years in a leadership role. + Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field. + MBA or graduate degree is preferred, but not required. + Certifications such as APICS CPIM, CSCP, or equivalent are preferred, but not required. **Competencies:** + Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with supply chain management systems (SAP ECC, SAP IBP, PIM, Power BI, etc.) is preferred. A strong understanding of how these systems integrate and support business functions is essential. + Leadership & Management: Proven experience leading diverse teams in distribution, customer service, and logistics functions, with a participative leadership style that empowers decision-making, fosters innovation, and promotes cross-functional collaboration. + Analytical Skills: Strong capability in analyzing data and translating insights into actionable strategies. Familiarity with key performance metrics in planning, logistics, transportation, and customer service. + Communication Skills: Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization, from frontline staff to executive leadership. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential. + Strategic Planning: Ability to think strategically and develop actionable supply chain plans that align with business goals, particularly in logistics, transportation, and customer service functions. + Cultural Fit: A participative leadership style that promotes empowerment and teamwork. Ability to adapt and lead through change while ensuring a focus on operational efficiency and continuous improvement. + Cross-functional Collaboration: Ability to work closely with other departments, particularly sales and manufacturing, to align on business objectives and drive customer confidence. + Change Management: Experience leading organizational change, particularly in distribution and logistics environments, with a focus on continuous improvement and succession planning. + Industry Experience: A background in the building supply or manufacturing industries is a plus, but not required. **Other Pertinent Job Information:** + This position is based at Daltile corporate HQ in Dallas, TX. + This employee will be responsible for 8-10 direct reports, and an extended team of ~600 employees across multiple geographically dispersed USA based locations. + This position requires ~20% travel, including internationally.
