**MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE**

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
Specifically, you will be accountable and responsible for taking appropriate action with respect to the Company’s and MUFG Securities EMEA plc/Technology/Technology Innovation Management, including:
• Stakeholder management across Risk for ensuring delivery success across the Change portfolio but also acting as a representative and key partner for the business for TEC in a wider capacity.
• Act as a close partner to lead the Risk portfolio with Change and business leads, actively challenging stakeholders, securing optimal resourcing through forward planning. Challenging project deliveries and understanding the wider impact to Technology.
• Ensure leadership of the Risk team, managing both consultants and permanent members of staff. This includes proactive management of consultants ensuring all of the team are clear on deliverables and supporting the team with problem solving, raising any issues in a timely manner. Management of hiring appropriate resources, contract renewals and resource governance. This includes ensuring consultants are also actively meeting SLAs. Provide MI/ KPIs for your BA pillar.
• Supporting both Project Managers and business partners through SME and problem skills. Acting as an advisor on appropriate TEC solutions with a solid understanding of the vendor landscape.
• Proactively engage with the CHG project portfolio manager to ensure that Risk initiatives are resourced with staff having the appropriate skillsets ensuring the right people are in the right roles with a strong focus on building future capabilities.
• Conduct themselves in a manner commensurate with company values
• Lead by example in building relationships across the bank, establishing a strong peer network and helping to strengthen collaboration.
• The lead will provide subject matter expertise and knowledge on Risk processes and systems to team members and the Technology department, and act as a contact point for Risk managers when seeking TEC input on initiatives or serious issues.
• Ability to own problem solving for the team and the ability to resolve complex issues with resources and Senior stakeholders independently rather than just escalating these to the project and line management.
• A strong proactive approach with Senior technology management communications and relationships, being able to deliver concise information to allow accurate and informed decision making. The individual should be a trusted advisor of Technology management as well as Senior business stakeholders.
• Leading by example by being a consistent role model on supporting and enforcing company policies around office attendance, office arrival times and sitting with the BA team to ensure collaboratively working with the team. Being flexible around the days in the office depending on business needs.
• Support the Head of the Business Analyst Team and Head of Technology Innovation Management with wider department and divisional initiatives in strategy and innovation. This role will also be the deputy to the Head of the Business Analyst Team and will be required to support with additional responsibilities as and when required.
• A champion for the use of AI across the BA team and implementing within your pillar.
• Strong TEC skills with the ability to perform sql queries, and be self-reliant on systems analysis. Advanced excel also required.
• Excellent communication skills required both written and verbal. Ability to build positive collaborative working relationships with Technology, Change Managers and Business stakeholders.
• Providing subject matter expertise to support TEC initiatives, as required e.g. presenting solutions to other parts of the organisation.
• Ownership of Risks, Issues and Dependencies across resources and programme of work for Risk and ensuring proactive actions are taken to ensure BA resourcing does not result in escalations.
The role also requires the Team Lead to work as a Business Analyst and lead across challenging and complex projects for respective stakeholders. This includes:
• Performing requirements gathering and compiling formal Business Requirements and Functional Specification documents.
• Covering all aspects of Business Analyst engagement throughout the Project Development lifecycle including but not limited to:
o Formulating and presenting proposed solutions to the business users. This may incorporate illustrative calculations using production data.
o Formulating testing approaches and compiling test plans and test cases.
o Performing system/integration testing and supporting business users with user acceptance testing.
o Compiling and presenting test results.
o Completing project/work-stream status reports.
o Escalating issues/risks to project/line management.

3) Relationship with other functions and stakeholders
Maintain and enhance good working relationships with stakeholders, across the region and globally to share best practices, provide support and develop effective local policies and procedures appropriate to the Company, and working in support of the One MUFG and overall Group strategy.
4) Performance and Duties
The role holder will be assessed in accordance with their employing entity’s performance framework and process with relevant input obtained from the dual hatting entity as relevant.
As duties and responsibilities change, the job description will be reviewed and emended in consultation with the role holder. The role holder will carry out other duties as are within the scope, spirit and purpose of the role as requested by their line manager or Department Head.
Managing conflicts of interest/dual hat status (If Applicable)
The role holder will have responsibilities for both MUFG Bank and MUFG Securities EMEA plc.
The role holder will be required to perform their duties and responsibilities on an entity neutral basis, without favour.
The role holder is required to follow regulatory requirements applicable to ensure each business is appropriately supported and to maintain the legal entity integrity of each of MUFG Bank and MUS.
Working terms are dictated by functional mandates, the terms of the Dual-Hat Arrangement Agreement in place between MUFG Bank and MUFG Securities EMEA plc and any other relevant agreements entered into between MUFG Bank and MUFG Securities EMEA plc.
The role holder will have responsibility for identifying and resolving where there may be a difference or conflict in needs between MUFG Bank and MUFG Securities EMEA plc, escalating to their manager where required.
**SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE**
+ Solid communication skills - both written and oral
+ A strong delivery track record and someone who can really take ownership of leading the Risk initiatives
+ Experience of managing a team of senior technology professionals within a top tier bank or consultancy.
+ Experience of successfully delivering large scale projects (preferably with an international scope).
+ Confidence and gravitas required to interact with senior managers within the bank.
+ Business analysis experience working for a top tier bank or consultancy.
+ A thorough understanding of the project life-cycle and experience of compiling proposal, scope, requirements and testing documents.
+ Knowledge of software development life-cycles.
+ Excellent product knowledge across the following: Bonds, Derivatives, Credit, Securities Financing, FX and Loans and Deposits.
+ A solid understanding of how the above products need to be booked and handled from a Risk perspective.
+ Experience of managing a team of senior technology professionals within a top tier bank or consultancy.
+ Experience of successfully managing large scale projects (preferably with an international scope). Confidence and gravitas required to interact with senior managers within the bank.
+ A thorough understanding of the project life-cycle and experience of compiling proposal, scope, requirements and testing documents.
+ Knowledge of software development life-cycles.
+ In depth knowledge of the trade lifecycle and the relevant market events for a product. Experience and knowledge of Market Risk; VaR, Sensitivities and Stress Testing.
+ Experience of Regulatory Capital and Liquidity measurements.
+ A good understanding of Credit Risk; credit limits, CSA’s, exposure calculations e.g. PFE, collateral processes.
+ Strong knowledge of FO booking systems like Markitwire, Bloomberg etc. and how they interface with Risk & Finance platforms.
+ Experience of working with Market Risk, Credit Risk, Capital, platforms, preferably some of the following: Markit Analytics (QuiC), Moodys.
+ Ability to understand and map a product into Murex from term sheet data
+ Ability and experience of working under pressure - both autonomously and within a team
+ Excellent knowledge of the Murex platform including the ability to problem solve and hands on solve issues related to of PL, Risk and Market Data in Murex
+ Excellent understanding of trade booking and trade lifecycle in Murex
+ Understanding of revaluation rate curve construction, simulation, trade pricing and settings in Murex
+ A strong delivery track record and someone who can really take ownership of leading the Risk stream

+ A good understanding of Markitwire interfaces
+ A good understanding of IR and CRD clearing processes
+ Knowledge of pre and post trade rules would be helpful
