Purpose

By partnering with local and campus community partners, the victim services manager will be responsible for ensuring that victims receive direct, personal service and support during and after crisis.


Responsibilities

Perform routine managerial work administering the daily operations and activities of the victim services unit.Establish goals and objectives; develop guidelines, policies, and procedures; develop schedules, priorities, and standards to achieve established goalsDevelop and evaluate budget requests; monitor budget expenditures.Coordinate and evaluate program activities.Supervise the work of others.Maintain case history records and prepare reports.Interview victims individually, in families, or in groups, assessing their situations, capabilities, and problems to determine what services are required to meet their needs.Establishes processes to support victims with family services, guidance clinics, courts, protective services, doctors, mental health services, and other contacts. Advocate for individual and community needs.Required QualificationsBachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Mental Health Oriented Science or in a field related to the job.Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW). Alternate licensing may be considerFive years of full-time experience in the victim services or​ related criminal justice field. At least one year must be in a supervisory role. Related experience in a clinical social work setting may be substituted if a direct link to law enforcement services exists.Applicants must meet the Texas Law Enforcement Telecommunications System (TLETS) access eligibility criteria as contained in the FBI Criminal Justice Information Systems Security Policy. $75,000 + depending on qualifications

Employment Eligibility:

Retirement Plan Eligibility:

The retirement plan for this position is Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS), subject to the position being at least 20 hours per week and at least 135 days in length. This position has the option to elect the Optional Retirement Program (ORP) instead of TRS, subject to the position being 40 hours per week and at least 135 days in length.
