Victor Operations Leader

Victor US is one of the largest and most experienced underwriting managers of specialty insurance programs in the world.  Victor US markets its solutions through a large distribution network of licensed insurance agents and brokers. 

We are seeking an experienced Operations Leader to join our dynamic team at Victor.  This role can be based in Bethesda, MD, Broomfield, CO or New York City, NY. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

Victor Operations Leader

You will lead and manage operations and planning for Victor's insurance operations, collaborating closely with the COO and leadership team to develop and implement the operational roadmap. Your role is essential in driving operational excellence, delivering the strategic business objectives, and providing outstanding service to clients. A strong background in insurance operations, business technology, leadership, project and change management, along with a strategic mindset, is required for this position.

We will count on you to:

Develop and implement strategies to optimize operational efficiency, streamline processes, and improve overall performance.

Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement corrective actions as necessary to meet or exceed targets.

Identify and implement best practices and modern technologies to enhance operational effectiveness and ensure compliance with industry regulations.

Form strategic partnerships with underwriting and technology to understand current and future strategic plans and needs.

Provide strong leadership and guidance to the insurance operations team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.

Set clear goals and expectations for the team, and regularly assess performance and provide feedback.

Develop and mentor team members, identifying opportunities for growth and professional development

Member of Victor’s senior leadership team.

Collaborate with key stakeholders to understand client needs and expectations and ensure the delivery of high-quality service and fit for purpose technical solutions.

Stay updated on industry trends, emerging risks, and regulatory changes, and implement necessary adjustments to operational processes.

Contribute to the development and execution of the business’ strategic plans and initiatives.

Collaborate with senior leadership to identify growth opportunities, drive innovation, and enhance operational capabilities.

Monitor market trends and competitive landscape to identify potential risks and opportunities.

What you need to have:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Insurance, or a related field.

Minimum of 15 years of experience in insurance operations, with a minimum of 7 years of progressive positions within leadership and management.

Strong knowledge of insurance products, processes, and industry best practices.

Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire others.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach.

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

The applicable base salary range for this role is $138,600 to $295,200.

The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
