What are the Victory Learning Center Programs? 

Victory Learning Center programs offer specialized educational services for students who are diagnosed with Autism or a Cognitive Disability paired with a mental-health diagnosis. There are two separate sites conveniently located in Lackawanna, NY, servicing students ages 5-21 who are residentially placed or are referred through their local school district's Committee on Special Education.

Behavior Support Technician

The Behavior Technician working in a educational setting is responsible for the delivery of evidence-based methods to support individuals with Autism and/or Intellectual Disability and mental health involvement. The methods include Applied Behavior Analysis approaches; classroom observation; observation in residential setting; data collection; supporting staff to implement individual behavior protocols and behavior intervention plans; and treatment integrity monitoring. In addition, regular assistance with personal hygiene tasks is required.  Each individual also may be assigned to one or more special projects including administrative and organization tasks associated with these assignments. 

Hourly Pay Rate: $19.40/hour - $27.00/hour Qualifications: Minimum Education: High School Diploma Required License: N/A

Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:30a-3:30p Hourly rate based on relevant years of experience

 

Special Education Teachers

$5,000 SIGN-ON BONUS!!

Includes working with adolescents, typically 12 – 18 years old that are diagnosed on the Autism spectrum with mental health concerns and developmental or intellectual disabilities.  The Special Education Teacher plans and provides for appropriate learning experiences for students with Autism, Intellectual Disability, and/or mental illness in a variety of educational settings. The person in this position is responsible for creation and oversight of an instructional environment utilizing Applied Behavior Analysis methodology. 

Salary Pay Rate: $56,120.15 - $73,000 (uncertified rate: $54,120.15) Qualifications: Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree in Education required, Master’s Degree preferred Minimum Experience: 3-5 years’ experience with individuals with developmental disabilities.  Previous working experience working with Autistic clients preferred, but not required. Required License/Certification: NYS Teaching Certification in Special Education must be obtained within one year
