Short Description:

The Video Conference Specialist (VCS) provides Audio-Visual Conference Management support to central office (Harrisburg) and field sites around the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

 

Complete Description:

Responsibilities in this role will include training staff on use of video conferencing equipment and processes, providing on site support of meetings with advanced technical needs, continuing expansion of video taping, editing and production of DVD and Windows Video files to host of website, providing management and coordination of audio/visual needs for off site and on site conferences, and providing oversight of second phase of equipping the training facility, to include training on new equipment.

 

This person will provide AV/Video conference support and expertise to Executive Management, and will be responsible for Manage videoconferencing rooms and theater design, including control systems, sound & acoustic design, lighting, and general infrastructure installation. They will perform routine maintenance on all systems, equipment, etc. including repairs and upgrades hardware/software on all systems, and will train administrative staff on equipment use, video conference connectivity and use of WebEx and other software in use.

 

This resource will provide technical assistance in Audio Visual/Video conferences - including, but not limited to,  loading, supporting and projecting PowerPoint Presentations to projector and large screen, understanding, managing and supporting White Board technology with Projected image, understanding, managing and supporting Phone Conferencing and Bridging.

 

This resource will assist conference centers to support technical meetings by performing various housekeeping duties and arranges furnishings in preparing conference rooms. (Including but not limited to configuring table, chairs, podiums etc.). They will educate staff to appropriate use of audio/visual equipment and assist staff with video and other media service productions, as required.

 

 

***Information pertaining to expected hours***

(THIS POSITION IS NOT GOING TO BE 40 HOURS PER WEEK):

 

Client will promise 20 hours a week for the first 6 weeks to allow the resource the ability to get up to speed and perform some of the expected job responsibilities as needed.  Client will provide 1 week notice for travel.  Estimated time is 15 to 24 hours a week.  Client wants someone who can run the equipment and be able to perform troubleshooting.  Client will provide a tentative 2 weeks conference center schedule.  Client would expect the resource to available before and after the actual conference meeting schedule to prepare and to make sure that all equipment is running properly and is put away properly.
