SUMMARY: The Part-Time Contractor Video Editor Specialist is responsible for creating high-quality video assets for courses, modular lessons, and educational resources tailored to meet the learning objectives of teachers and school leaders. This role involves collaborating with team members, contributing innovative ideas for product improvements, and ensuring all content maintains a consistent and professional standard.

Collaborates with IDs, SMEs, contractors, and relevant stakeholders
Manages multiple projects and strategizes deadlines
Produces and edits video resources for accuracy, clarity, creativity, and K12 brand alignment
Schedules regular meetings with subject matter experts to discuss needs and next steps regarding video content for course development;
Adheres to roadmap timelines;
Consults with the rest of the team to discuss standards and consistency of content and style that are coordinated across courses, units, and lessons;
Seeks to continue growing and developing by staying appraised of current research and new design applications in the field.
Supervisory Responsibilities:This position has no formal supervisory responsibilities.
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
2 years in video production
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly Premiere Pro
Proficiency in WCAG guidelines and accessibility alignment
Knowledge using a workflow management platform, Monday.com desired.
Proven ability to meet deadlines with creativity, independence, and high standards
Strong understanding of video formats, compression techniques, and best practices for online delivery.
Excellent communication skills for collaborating with subject matter experts, instructional designers, and other team members.
Proven ability to set clear objectives, identify challenges, analyze data, and develop innovative solutions.
Ability to clear required background check
Certificates and Licenses: None required.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
B.S., B.A., or B.F.A. in related field, preferred
Previous experience in creating educational or training video content, particularly in K-12 or professional development settings.
Experience working in agile or fast-paced production environments, preferred

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS: Stride, Inc. considers a person’s education, experience, and qualifications, as well as the position’s work location, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value when determining a new employee’s salary level. Salaries will differ based on these factors, the position’s level and expected contribution, and the employee’s benefits elections. Offers will typically be in the bottom half of the range.
We anticipate the hourly range to be $26.92 - $34.99. Eligible employees may receive a bonus. This hourly rate is not guaranteed, as an individual’s compensation can vary based on several factors.
