As a Business Development Analyst, the main missions will be as follows :

1. Liaison with potential partners

Cultivate solid relationships with stakeholders (industry players and potential partners) across the targeted area in order to build long term relationship ;Assist key commercial negotiations (JDA, SHA, SPA) and conduct relevant evaluation and analysis required on deal structuring ;Ensure continual updating and discussions with partners to form an aligned, factual and realistic business case.


2. Due diligence and analysis of project information 

Ensure coordination of the due diligence process, including the management of external advisors and lenders ;Prepare initial financial valuations and review project financial models, to evaluate economics and run various analyses, delivering detailed return assessment ;Review and extract relevant project information for investment opportunities (project planning, permitting, land/seabed lease, supplier/EPC contracts, grid connection, financing and PPA/offtake agreements) ;Perform due diligence on various workstreams including but not limited to compliance, legal, financial, tax, commercial, technical and ESG, working with internal functional teams and external advisors/consultants.


3. Develop, review and optimise the project business case

Prepare presentation materials, providing well thought out investment thesis on opportunities, returns, deal structure and risks, and supporting the process through internal approvals ;Support the preparation and coordination of the project/ tender deliverables in coordination with the Project Development Team and other internal stakeholders ;Participate in the development of business cases with the Project Development team up to the Final Investment Decision (FID). Optimize and manage project risks by overseeing various internal functions (project development, technical, finance, HSE, legal, etc.) to ensure efficient collaboration and project management through to the FID. Highlight deviations between the company's investment committee business case (considering DEVEX, CAPEX, and OPEX) and the evolving on-the-ground realities ;Highlight deviations between the company’s  investment committee business case (considering DEVEX, CAPEX and OPEX) and evolving realities on-the-ground ;Participate in managing offtake & client with the support of TotalEnergies Offtake Manager (from GRP Integrated Power Business Unit).


4. Other activities 

Participate to the design of the APAC business development strategy Leading and co-ordinating the analysis on: market, regulations and procedures, financing and macro-economic variables Provide pipeline updates, progress megawatt updates, and other reporting requests on a timely basis as needed Deploy processes, good practices and tools defined by the Company and share lessons learned   Keep himself/herself fully informed on energy sector, technologies, policies, government regulation, industry trends affecting renewable energy and energy storageEnsure that company security rules and group policies are shared and respected. Candidate Profile

Expected qualifications:

Master Business School or engineering degree in Business, Economics, Finance 


Technical skills:

Prior internships / work experience in power / energy companies or investment banks within the investment / financing / strategy departments Renewable energy experience is a plusDemonstrated excellence / performance in Business Case Competitions / extra-curricular activities in university Great communication and interpersonal skills Positive learning attitude with strong appetite for learningBasic understanding of power and energy markets fundamentals Basic understanding of corporate / project finance Basic understanding of financial modelling


Computing skills:

Good level in Microsoft Office : Excel, Word, Powerpoint


Languages:

English: level C1/C2French: level C1 Additional Information
