Procurement Specialist
Join the D&IS NAM Procurement team as a Procurement Specialist, where you will have the unique opportunity to experience multiple roles during your assignment. You will report to the Site Sirector of Procurement and will be based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA. In your role you will develop initiatives related to strategic sourcing and project management that will allow us to operate more efficiently.
Commodity Buyer support
Consolidate the commodity needs, inputs used to prepare and launch request for quote with suppliers Participate actively to commodity strategy and panel elaboration Support of Commodity Manager in tender phase Monitor Procurement project QCDT & legal project evolution (FAI, Business Award, Product development) Support new supplier onboarding (collect documents, system setup, document storage, derogations) Complete relevant transactions in SAP Support the negotiation of supplier contracts, general and specific Manage Supplier Contract execution and coordinate project with all métiers Develop supplier scorecard using Qlik and other internal tools; Measure the supplier's performance and develop them in coordination with supplier Quality Team Implement monthly/quarterly business reviews (scorecard, KPIs, action plans) Assess properly all risky suppliers and manage the associated mitigation plan Support pay terms harmonization and pay terms reductions initiatives Respect Alstom code of ethics and guidelines
Project Support
Evaluate BOM and complete retro planner for new projects Support the management of the project financials by monitoring EAC, creating bridge for FPR Provide inputs and participate in Work Package reviews Track and Monitor all DIS savings to ensure annual targets are met According to Claim process RACI, contribute to ensure Alstom´s rights via offensive claims; and protect Alstom´s rights against defensive claims Identify and communicate risks and opportunities to project team Develop and implement a procurement launch workshop for new projects Monitor project EOA folders and transfer new releases onto project tracker files Maintain project tracker information Support DFQ gate requirements Support project contract SWOT analysis requirements as needed Support clearing invoices in Inspire
Education & Experience
University degree preferred in business, supply chain, engineering Sourcing professional background (0-5 years) Contract management & legal awareness
Competencies & Skills
Working level of Outlook, Excel, Visio, Powerpoint Preferred experience with SAP, Ariba Ability to work in a matrix environment Communication skills & Team spirit Ability to prioritize and manage time Ability to be agile, responsible, and inclusive Fluent in English
