Violence Intervention Team leader - LLR
Job Introduction

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate, proactive and credible Team Leader to work within Violence Intervention Project (VIP) to lead a team who work with young people who are either perpetrators or victims of violence in Leicestershire.

The role of YP Team Leader will be based at Friar Lane but will be expected to also work out of Leicester Royal Infirmary and Euston Street Police Station therefore the team leader will need to be able to obtain/pass police vetting.  

The team meet young people in reachable moments and engage them to make positive changes to their lives. The team engage with these vulnerable young people at this key opportunity to help make a difference and support them to move away from violence towards safer, healthier more productive lives.

As a Team Leader you will be responsible for people management, partnership working, data reporting and monitoring KPI’s.   You will need to be confident in your understanding of Turning Point governance and process and able to manage interagency relationships.  You will represent Turning Point and advocate for the service and development in areas where opportunities may arise.  

This is a full time (37 hours) opportunity. The VIP team work 7 days a week so the team leader may at times need to be available.   The successful applicant will manage and support the VIP service.  This is an integral role and will require strong leadership skills, an ability to present and develop strong partnerships especially with the Violence Reduction Network (our Commissioners) whilst keeping close operational oversight.
