Virtual Test Inspector

About the role: We are looking for a confident and detail focused professional to join out dynamic Test Inspection team. The successful candidate will require strong written and verbal skills, and a hunger to learn and develop. As an integral part of our operation, you will be responsible for coordinate and conducting virtual test inspections. Key responsibilities include organising and running Inspection calls, creating post-inspection reports and assisting the team manager with operational needs. This role covers UK and international test inspections, and is a remote role with monthly meetings in the Manilla office. 

Our team: PQS (Pearson Qualification Services). The Qualifications Processing directorate consists of several areas, which work together to deliver General and Vocational Qualification operations throughout the year. This operation supports the delivery of accurate results to every candidate in each examination session.

The Test Inspections team are responsible for delivering a test inspections programme for Pearson qualifications which:

Ensures centre compliance with regulatory (Ofqual/SQA/JCQ) and Pearson requirements. Upholds the quality and integrity of Pearson qualifications and exams. Ensures learners are at the heart of every decision we make.

As a Virtual Test Inspector, your responsibilities will include:

Facilitating remote inspections, including setting up online meetings and providing support to centres. Completing inspection reports and providing them to the business within agreed deadlines. Coordinating with centres prior to their inspection. Maintaining data within large spreadsheets. Communicating effectively with internal/external stakeholders. Undertaking additional activities to ensure effective execution of Pearson processing targets.

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

Bachelor’s Degree, 5 GCSEs at A-C, including Mathematics and English, or equivalent. Experience in handling data within spreadsheets. Very good communication skills (written and verbal). Strong attention to detail. Ability to perform under pressure, meet tight deadlines and handle multiple tasks. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Strong integrity and high value towards business ethics.

Flexible working: We are committed to hybrid working practices and have adopted flexible remote and virtual working. Employees in the Test Inspection team are sometimes required to cover Saturday shifts and must attend the monthly team meeting at the local Manila office.
