The Virtualization Engineer assists with the engineering and maintenance of the organization's systems infrastructure, including supporting the design and implementation of hardware and software while monitoring the performance of deployed systems. The position assists with architectural documentation, Time Compliance Technical Order (TCTO) documentation and validation, STIG compliance, status reports and updates. The Virtual Engineer coordinates among resources and stakeholders for the testing and validation of system upgrades and modifications for new projects and existing deployments. The position also supports configuration and change managements processes; and ensures project/action plans, updates/upgrade tasks, and potential issues are briefed to appropriate stakeholders.

Responsibilities Assist with the engineering and maintenance of the organization's systems infrastructure, including supporting the design and implementation of hardware and software while monitoring the performance of deployed systems. Perform site backup and recovery of local and remote sites. Perform administration and maintenance activities. Support daily operations. Execute all upgrade activities. Provide Tier 1 support. Provide call in support. QualificationsRequirements
1–3 years of progressively responsible VMWare, CommVault, and/or NetApp support with experience in mid-to-large data center environments. Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in: Advanced networking concepts, VLAN, trunking and port channel Demonstrated advanced diagnostics and troubleshooting abilities Disaster Recovery - expertise in risk reduction, Hot/Warm site DR architecture, high availability, planning for disaster situations Knowledge of data communications, local-area networking, wide-area networking, routers, and switches Network (Layer 2, 3) LAN/WAN knowledge and switches/routers Thorough understanding of Internet Protocol (IP) routing, switching, and the OSI model. Possess refined critical thinking skills, should be a self-starter, and multi-task capable. Approach work as diplomatic, adaptive to a dynamic environment, dependable and reliable. Ability to lift at least 50lbs.Education:
Bachelor’s degree in related technical disciplineMIS related field is preferred but not mandatory.Required Certifications:
