Virtualization Solution Architect – Paris

(Fixed-Term Contract Until End of 2025)

 

We are recruiting for a Virtualization Solution Architect, to help drive innovation by designing and implementing scalable, flexible, and high-performance development environments for our Software Development and Delivery (SDD) teams, as well as software developers.

 

The Role:

Analyze and select a fully integrated development environment solution that aligns with our virtualization strategy and BioPharma software needs across Windows, Linux, and hosting platforms (VMware, AWS, hardware, Containers) Assist the ISOPS team in transitioning to a scalable, flexible development infrastructure Collaborate with the infrastructure team to define and implement a new strategy, sharing expertise and insights Identify constraints and resources for the development environment, gathering requirements from stakeholders Create Architecture Decision Records (ADRs) to document and justify technology choices Lead the implementation of selected solutions to provide development and test environments on internal and cloud infrastructure Define integrations with our toolchain to enable an On-Demand Development Environment with automated lifecycle management Contribute to the infrastructure roadmap, focusing on continuous improvement.

 

What you will bring:

Experience working in an Agile and SAFe environment Strong communication skills in international and multicultural settings Minimum of 5 years of experience in Virtual Infrastructure within a software development context Expertise in AWS IaaS, VMware, and Nutanix Strong knowledge of Docker containerization and image maintenance Hands-on experience with Ansible and Terraform for infrastructure management Proficiency in DevContainers technology (e.g., GitHub CodeSpaces, Gitpod).

 

Nice to have Certifications:

AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate or equivalent Red Hat Certified Specialist in Developing Automation with Ansible or equivalent Terraform Authoring and Operations Professional Certification or equivalent.
