Visa Direct is a payment service that Visa provides to clients (issuers, acquirers, processors, merchants and payment service providers) to facilitate fund transfers/disbursements to people around the world for Card, Account and Digital Wallets products. This role covers both sides of Visa Direct product – Card and Account/ Wallets.

Job Description and Responsibilities:

The selected candidate will work with Visa Direct Enablers (Acquirers, PSPs, Processors) to identify, define, and initiate execution of real-time payment solutions and commercial initiatives. They will focus on evolving market, client, and consumer needs to drive significant future market growth for Visa.

Responsibilities include driving strategic enablement and growth of regional originating clients, and leading strategic initiatives to accelerate time to revenue and drive further volume. The candidate must possess a unique combination of technical skills, including a deep understanding of payments processing, banking systems, consumer behavior, and Visa's business, along with outstanding client-facing skills and the ability to influence and execute the strategy for Visa Direct originators in Europe.

This is a unique opportunity to help build a new ecosystem in the fast-moving world of payments, one of Visa's most important initiatives. The role is matrix and cross-functional, requiring organizational savvy and strong interpersonal skills to interface with specialized product groups, financial institution sales, merchant and acquiring sales, client consulting, marketing and corporate communications, legal, and finance to achieve aspirational objectives.

Visa is seeking a thought leader in strategy and business growth with a proven record of success in fast-paced environments with demanding timelines.

Key responsibilities will include:

Engage European Acquirers, PSPs, Processors, Merchants, and deliver agreed targets for Visa Direct enabler and originator enablement and growth.Drive definition of technical and commercial solutions that meet partner and Visa growth objectives.Lead significant strategic engagements with partners critical to the success of Visa Direct and support strategic launches.Lead consultancy on best practices covering all aspects of Visa Direct origination and manage the enablement and optimization of existing clients.Report against OKRs of their portfolio and their team.Manage junior team members.Lead regular problem-solving sessions with sales teams and partners’ sales teams, and work with existing Visa Direct partners and their Account Executives to cross-sell Visa Direct solutions.Work with clients and partners to drive enablement, and develop and implement strategies for optimization and acceleration, including focus on high-potential client targets, use cases, and verticals.Collaborate with cross-functional partners (Product, Marketing, Communications, Finance, Legal, Client Services) to ensure successful outcomes for both Visa and clients.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

• Experience in the payments/money movement field is essential. Visa Direct knowledge highly desirable.
• Mid to senior level experience in a program/product role for new payment product technologies and capabilities – including technical, commercial, and consultancy.
• Experience simplifying the complex and removing commercial and technical barriers to execution.
• Passion for the future of payments and customer experience.
• Experience working across European markets in the payments sector.
• Ability to balance interpersonal skills, technical proficiency, outstanding communication skills, and commercial judgment to drive outcomes.
• Independent day-to-day working, self-directed based on a sound understanding of overall strategy.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills, and ability to interface with senior client executives.
• Driven, resilient, with attention to detail and positive under pressure.
• Excellent analytical skills and exposure to BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
• Solid understanding of modern technologies (e.g., APIs, cloud solutions).
• Excellent program/project management skills.
• Good understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle.
• Demonstrated thought leadership and aptitude to think creatively.
