JOB SUMMARY:
Support the design, planning, installation, and maintenance of Vision Systems and Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) machines and equipment. Engineers will interpret the product specifications and develop vision inspection systems to ensure the electronic products assembly and solder quality. Using vision inspection systems we ensure inverter products sold to our customers have zero defects and are ready to be installed in hybrid and electric vehicles.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide daily production line support Setup/Repair/Modify Vision and AOI machines Develop machine specifications Travel to various vendors, customers, and other group companies Create/modify vision programs and test systems used to confirm solder quality of surface mount and through hole devices General production improvement tasks upon request including time studies, cost analysis, ROI studies, cost reduction activities Project launch activities including obtaining funds, obtaining approval from upper management, and project management from project start until mass production launch Quality improvement tasks upon request including optimization of vision programs, capability studies, defect root cause analysis, countermeasure development and implementation Performs other duties as assigned

Required Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering/ Computer Engineering or related field Required 3-5 years of relevant experienceSKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Competent written and verbal communication skills and presentation skills Analytical skills with the ability to collect, analyze and interpret large amounts of data Project management/organization and scheduling abilities Problem solving skills, vision troubleshooting, and root cause analysis Capable of programming vision systems and familiarity with various strengths and weaknesses of competing vison technologies Technical reporting Basic knowledge of CAD (AutoCAD or SolidWorks) and engineering software Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite
