Visiting Assistant Professor of Computer Science
The Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at Hobart and William Smith Colleges invites applications for a visiting faculty position in Computer Science to begin August 1, 2025. This is a full-time, one-year position with a teaching load of four courses with associated labs over two semesters. Teaching an additional course in data analytics or mathematics is a possibility depending on candidate interest and qualifications, as well as curricular need. The salary range for this position is $46,036-$63,499. Required qualifications: + ABD or MS in computer science or a related field + a strong commitment to teaching + the ability to use Java as the language of instruction Preferred qualifications: + PhD in computer science or a related field + experience with and/or interest in working in a multicultural environment and encouraging excellence from students with diverse backgrounds For an initial application, please submit a cover letter, C.V., and a statement of teaching philosophy and inclusive teaching practices via Interfolio.
