Visiting Assistant Professor of Digital Media Communications, beginning Fall 2025

The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford is currently seeking a Visiting Full-Time Assistant Professor of Digital Media Communications in the Division of Communications the Arts, beginning Fall 2025.

Requirements: MA or Ph.D. in Communications or a closely related field with an emphasis in media production and a strong commitment to teaching undergraduates. Experience teaching at the university or collegiate level is required. Work experience in the field is preferred.

Responsibilities: Applicants must be able to teach 12 credits per semester at the undergraduate level. Position teaches courses such as Digital Video 1 and 2, Radio Production, and Mass Media in Society, among others. Preference will be given to applicants with relevant work experience. Candidate will have an opportunity to integrate new media studies and wider digital cultures as we revise and update our Broadcast Communications Program. Our Broadcast Communications Program has a strong tradition of hands-on, experiential learning and the candidate will be the technical point-person for our students as they gain experience in our television, radio, and digital editing spaces — strong technical skills will be a necessity. Candidates experienced working with college students from diverse backgrounds and possessing applied experience in media production are encouraged to apply.
