Duties and Responsibilities: The primary responsibilities include teaching up to 12 contact hours per semester with typically two to three preparations. Courses of interest include undergraduate core courses in thermal-fluid sciences and design, and introductory courses for freshmen in solid modeling and programming. Minimum Qualifications: The candidate must hold an earned doctorate in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are a prerequisite. The department has 24 full-time faculty members, approximately 300 undergraduate students, and 125 graduate students, including 55 Ph.D. students.
