The Department of Physics at Hamline University is seeking applications for a Visiting Faculty position. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching a total of seven courses per year, which includes designing, developing, and teaching mechanical engineering courses. Additionally, the candidate will have the opportunity to engage in collaborative research projects with undergraduate students. **Qualifications:** + Preference will be given to applicants with a Ph.D. in mechanical engineering or a closely related field by the start of their appointment. Candidates with a master’s degree or equivalent qualifications will also be considered. + Preference will be given to candidates who earned a B.S. in mechanical engineering or a closely related discipline from an ABET-accredited engineering program. + Candidates who demonstrate a strong commitment to teaching physics and mechanical engineering courses within an active learning environment and actively supporting students beyond the classroom are highly preferred.
