The Touro University Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center is pleased to announce that it is currently seeking applicants for a visiting or full-time appointment to its Legal Process (Legal Research and Writing) faculty starting in August 2025. Legal Process is a six-credit first-year course. Students receive three credits in the fall semester and three credits in the spring semester. In addition to the standard focus on predictive writing in the fall and persuasive writing in the spring, students are introduced to client interviewing. They are also introduced to client counseling and/or negotiation

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Prepare and teach graduate law student courses in a physical classroom and/or a virtual classroomPrepare course materials such as syllabi, assessments, final examinations, assignments and handoutsTimely grade student assessmentsMaintain regularly scheduled office hours in order to advise and assist studentsStay current in and continually strive to improve teaching skills and expertise in the subjects that they teachStay informed of changes in the law and pedagogical practices in legal research and writingCollaborate with colleagues to address teaching and research issuesEngage in legal research and produce legal scholarship, as appropriate to the positionCommit to service to legal education and to the wider communityEngage in the intellectual life of the Law Center, which includes significant service to the Law Center.Participate on faculty committeesAttend faculty meetings and Law Center eventsParticipate in service outside the Law Center, appropriate to the position Qualifications DegreesJuris Doctor required.J.D. degree from an ABA accredited law school
