Visitor Center Coordinator
Pay Range: $17.50 - $20.01 Provides visitor security control and security program administration. Primary tasks include visitor screening, credential checking, confirming appointments, issuing badges, answering phones and maintaining security logs. Also responsible for monitoring local CCTVs, conducting reviews of various access control system reports and assisting in video production from the CCTV system and otherwise assessing suspicious activity. Education and Experience: + High School degree required + Associate Degree or equivalent certification or professional experience a plus + NY State PI or Security Guard certification a plus Skills and Abilities: + Basic understanding of accounting, auditing, operations and compliance processes and their interaction with the security function. + Knowledge of physical and personnel security best practices. + Demonstrate oral and written communication skills. + Strong interpersonal skills and ability to establish an authoritative presence. + Familiar with banking systems and practices for investigative purposes. + Familiar with technology including internet programs and MS window based computer skills. + Keen observation skills; physical strength in an emergency situation to handle a difficult situation and strong decision making skills. + Strong interpersonal skills and ability to establish an authoritative presence. + Familiar with banking systems and practices for investigative purposes. + Familiar with technology including internet programs and MS window based computer skills. + Familiar with technology including internet programs and MS window based computer skills. + Keen observation skills; physical strength in an emergency situation to handle a difficult situ Tasks Performed: + 50% Check identification of all visitors entering secure areas and ensure all are sponsored and properly cleared for entry. Assess whether visitors need to enter secure building areas, log visitors in, issue visitor badges and notify hosts of visitor arrivals. Ensure visitors are not introducing any unauthorized or prohibited items jump drives, computer equipment, weapons, etc . + 25% Monitor CCTV and access control systems. + 10% Account for all logs, instructions, equipment and badges at the beginning, during and end of each scheduled work day. + 10% Review, update & perform emergency procedures for bomb threat, active shooter, dignitary protection, anti-terrorism, fire or medical evacuation and other emergency situations in accordance with emergency procedures checklists, as needed. + 5% Assist with personnel, information, program security and entry control functions or other duties as assigned by the Corporate Security Manager.
