**Overview** Advanced Technologies and Laboratories, Inc. is hiring for a Visual Examination Operator in Oak Ridge, TN. **Essential Functions and Job Responsibilities** Performs high-quality visual examination of all waste slated for transport to the WIPP facility following the conduct of operations policies and procedures. Knowledgeable in all aspects of Visual Waste Characterization (TRU mixed waste), applicable Acceptable Knowledge, Data Quality Objectives, and all associated documentation. Completes and reviews examination documentation with 100% accuracy (BDRs, NCRs, ITRs). Strict compliance to documented procedures, including meeting operational and procedural training requirements to remain qualified. Provides problem resolution to improve VE results and quality/quantity improvements. Demonstrates effective teamwork with peers, supervisors, managers, clients, service organizations, and external entities, including providing sound judgment and issue resolution in both business and technical areas. Experienced working in radiological laboratories and facilities. Follows site and facility security requirements. Adheres to safety requirements and promotes a safe workplace. Demonstrates effective business and technical verbal and writing skills. Inputs critical data into computer systems.
