Project Kuiper is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world. As a Visual UX Designer, you will be a valuable member of Project Kuiper’s Commerce UX team. In this role you will define, design, and deliver user interface designs that delight our customers across the globe to create a meaningful, emotional connection between customers and our product.

A successful candidate will be curious, creative, highly analytical and be able to work autonomously to drive impact as part of a large growing cross-functional team (product and program managers, software and hardware engineers, business development and marketing team and industrial designers). We are looking for a designer who is a systems-thinker and highly-skilled at establishing and/or utilizing brand guidelines and design systems to deliver visually compelling, world-class customer experiences.

Key job responsibilities
- You will be hands on, working alongside a talented team of UX designers, and have a strong understanding of brand, design systems and best practices, including layout, color palette, typography, iconography and illustrations.
- You are at ease visualizing an experience in the abstract, building consensus, and then driving that vision into concise design deliverables.
- As a visual storyteller, you will advocate for design excellence and help create meaningful, emotional connection between customers and our products.
- In collaboration with the UX Lead, you will facilitate cross-functional design review meetings for input and sign-off on design artifacts.
- You will create design briefs, proposals, reports and executive summaries as needed to keep the product team and Kuiper leadership team informed of design opportunities and design progress.
- You will provide design clarification and consultation as needed to engineers when designs are being implemented.
- You will provide design assets as needed to the Kuiper Marketing Team to be used on external-facing Kuiper website and other promotional materials.
- Experience in delivering design solutions for projects of large scope and complexity and a track record of hands on experience on design projects that have launched.
