Job in a Nutshell: 

The Vitamin Order Puller position is responsible for processing and packing orders at the Natural Grocers Distribution Center in Golden.  Duties include receiving, inspection and put-away of inbound products; maintaining accurate inventory and documentation; processing, filling and staging orders accurately and efficiently.

Responsibilities

Main Ingredients:

 

Receiving

Promptly transfer inbound orders from receiving to the vitamin / supplements area for processingReceive, unpack, and examine goods for any damage or expiration datesIsolate any damaged or expired goods; report to vendor and purchasing for dispositionProcess any return orders as necessaryCheck packing slips and purchase orders for accuracy and report any discrepancies to purchasing immediatelyEnter goods into SAP using RF gunComplete necessary paperwork, and send it to corporate office for processingProcess purchase orders from stores to create outbound pick lists via SAP Fill orders for stores using RF gun; pack orders safely for shippingClearly mark finished packages with store identification and stage packages in proper locationsComplete and maintain records of outbound delivery numbers

 

General Responsibilities

Maintain good housekeeping and records in the vitamin and supplements departmentMaintain receiving logs, outbound delivery logs, and housekeeping logsProvide clear and professional communication with corporate office, stores, managers, coworkers and vendors at all timesPerform all operations in a manner that promotes safetyMust adhere to all company policies and proceduresMay be assigned to other warehouse tasks such as inventory and bulk order pulling

Qualifications

Recipe for Success:

High school diploma or equivalent is requiredBasic computer skills required; written communication and ability to learn SAP is requiredAbility to follow written work instructions as provided is requiredPrior order pulling / warehouse experience preferredPrevious forklift experience preferred; must be certified by NGVCGood attention to detail required; accuracy and thoroughness is a mustAbility to work with others in a fast-paced environmentFlexibility with working hours to accommodate warehouse needsAble to work in seasonally warm or cool environmentAble to assist in other departments as neededPrevious experience with inventory required. Experience with SAP a plusMust have current Colorado Driver’s License and reliable transportation

Physical Requirements:

Must have the ability to occasionally lift or carry up to 50 lbs.

Must be able to constantly sit, use fine motor manipulations, and reach outward for the duration of the work shift.

Must be able to frequently grip, bend, twist, and turn.

Must be able to occasionally walk, stand, squat, kneel, and reach above chest as needed.

 

Environmental Requirements:

Must be able to work occasionally with cold, heat, sharp tools and equipment, noise, contact stress, dust, fumes, and congested worksite.
