VMware Engineer Job Category: Information Technology Time Type: Full time Minimum Clearance Required to Start: TS/SCI Employee Type: Regular Percentage of Travel Required: Up to 10% Type of Travel: Continental US * * * **The Opportunity:** The VMware Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and debugging applications and systems that incorporate logical and mathematical solutions. This role includes architecting enterprise-level solutions, collaborating with hardware engineers, and implementing cyber solutions across military, industrial, and aerospace applications. **Responsibilities:** • Enterprise Architecture & Design: Lead the architectural design and development of enterprise systems for the Air Force, DoD, IC, and government partners. • VMware & Infrastructure Modernization: Research, analyze, and implement modernization solutions using VMware, storage, networking, and virtualization technologies. • Cloud & Virtualization Architecture: Develop and integrate cloud-based solutions (AWS, Azure, GCP) while utilizing VMware ESXi, vCenter, and virtualized network infrastructure. • Cybersecurity & Information Assurance: Implement security architecture considering confidentiality, integrity, availability, authentication, and non-repudiation principles. • Automation & DevSecOps Integration: Architect automated solutions using Ansible, Terraform, Puppet, and Chef to enhance enterprise infrastructure. • Containerized & Microservices Architecture: Design and manage containerized environments using Kubernetes and OpenShift. • RMF & Compliance: Ensure system compliance by working through the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process. • Stakeholder Engagement: Interface with executive leadership, DoD contractors, mission partners, and government agencies to align architectural strategies with enterprise objectives. **Qualifications:** **_Required_** : • Extensive experience in enterprise architecture and VMware infrastructure. • Expertise in VMware ESXi, vCenter, and virtualization architecture. • Strong storage, networking, and PKI administration skills. • Experience designing and managing cloud architectures (AWS, Azure, GCP). • Strong background in Linux (RedHat) for enterprise deployments. • Active TS/SCI security clearance. • 8+ years of experience and Bachelor’s in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience. • Software architecture & lifecycle development experience in DoD projects. • Security+ CE certification. • Current TS/SCI Clearance Required (Poly Desired) **_Desired_** : •AWS Certification (Developer, DevOps, or Architect) • Advanced degree (Master’s/PhD) in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. • Experience in CI/CD pipeline architecture. • Software-defined networking (SDN) & automation frameworks. • Expertise in Identity and Access Management (SAML, OIDC). - **________________________________________________________________________________________** **What You Can Expect:** **A culture of integrity.** At CACI, we place character and innovation at the center of everything we do.
