Key Responsibilities:

Design, deploy, and manage VMware, vSphere, vCenter, ESXi hosts, VROPs/VMware Aria and virtual machines. Monitor and optimize VMware infrastructure for performance, security, and cost-efficiency. Perform advanced troubleshooting of complex issues related to VMware technologies, including storage and networking integration. Assist in the migration and decommissioning of physical servers – P2V, V2V, V2C migrations. Manage vSAN, VMware NSX, and other VMware suite products to ensure robust, scalable virtualization environments. Maintain and optimize disaster recovery solutions leveraging VMware tools such as Site Recovery Manager (SRM)/Redcentric DR. Physical Server Management on HP ILO, Cisco UCS, Dell iDRAC etc. Collaborate with cross-functional teams for capacity planning, resource allocation, and infrastructure upgrades. Conduct performance tuning and troubleshooting of server virtualization environments. Knowledge on Physical and Virtual NetScaler is an added advantage. Implement and maintain security policies for virtualized environments, including patch management and compliance checks. Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior staff on VMware technologies. Prepare and maintain documentation and Reporting, including architecture designs, standard operating procedures, and automation runbooks.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field. 8+ years of hands-on experience with VMware products (vSphere, vCenter, ESXi, vSAN, NSX, etc.). VMware Certified Professional (VCP) or VMware Certified Advanced Professional (VCAP) certifications preferred.
