DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As a Vocational Adjustment Services Worker, you will be assigned to the South Mountain Workshop. You will design, implement, and evaluate vocational programs that provide therapeutic work experiences. This important work requires strong interpersonal and observational skills to evaluate clients for vocational placement in the community. In this position, you will supervise participation in workshop activities such as assembly, packaging, inspection, and material handling through instruction and role modeling. You can expect to schedule client workshops, maintain clinical records, and comply with all regulations governing sheltered workshops.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
+ Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
+ Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. This may change based on operational needs.
+ Travel and overtime as needed.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
+ Graduation from a four year college or university with major course work in Vocational Rehabilitation, Vocational Education or Counseling, or a related Human Services field; or
+ Four years of experience in the field of Vocational Adjustment Services for those with mental or physical illness or handicaps; or
+ Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
+ Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within three months of graduating with a qualifying degree/credits.
