Please read below and apply with an updated resume for consideration. **Type:** Four-month contract, opportunity for extension **Schedule:** Part time, Monday through Friday - 9am to 3pm **Pay:** $33.00 to $36.00 an hour **Responsibilities of the Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor:** · Application of vocational knowledge through assessment and synthesis of claim file information and ability to offer balanced conclusions. · Ability to concisely communicate (written and verbally) complex vocational issues in a fast-paced, environment. · Partner with multiple resources to identify, develop, coordinate and implement complex vocational rehabilitation and return to work plans. · Collaboration with internal and external resources to gather pertinent vocational and medical documentation to accurately assess file direction. · Responsible for comprehensive forensic vocational assessments. · Provide coaching of claims professionals to increase vocational knowledge. · Operate with a sense of urgency and flexibility to meet the needs of a rapidly changing environment, while meeting performance standards set for quality and quantity of work. · Display capacity and drive for learning and developing broad business and leadership skills; openness to diverse ideas & experiences and has self-awareness re: strengths and areas of development. · Must maintain professional certifications and complete other required educational activities. **Qualifications for the Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor:** · Master’s Degree in Vocational Rehabilitation or related field (ex. Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, Higher Education, Behavioral Health) · Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC) certification preferred · Minimum 3 years vocational experience preferred · Familiarity with a variety of vocational resources/software.
