By Light is hiring a Voice Engineer - Journeyman to work in Tampa, FL. The Engineer will be responsible for providing technical expertise for daily operations and maintenance of systems; Effectively troubleshooting, isolating, and resolving technical problems to minimize system downtime; Assisting with preparing and maintaining technical documentation, drawings and related artifacts; Support implementation of routine updates, approved upgrades and engineering or design changes; and Help to isolate and resolve technical issues and problems that impact multiple networks, systems, and devices..

 

This position will require a candidate open to "Panama Shift" work in a 24x7x365 environment.

Responsibilities Provide Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) and Video support with extensive experience with configuring and troubleshooting VoIP solutions for an enterprise network.Must have experience with applying VoIP protocols, VoIP codec, session boarder controller (SBC), and Unified Computing System (UCS) on an enterprise network.Willingness to cross train and support multiple technologies in an operational environment including SATCOM, Network, VDI/Virtualization.Support the system adherence to industry standards, DOD standards, DOD policies, DOD instructions, DOD directives, cybersecurity policies, and best commercial practices.  Utilize ticketing systems for detailed documentation of outages and network change activities.Provide technical problem resolution for a wide range of voice/network infrastructure problems or anomalies.
