We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Volunteering Team Lead to be part of our Brighton and Hove Service. A key part of this role is recruiting and supporting volunteers as part of our Street Outreach Service provision.

 

Where: Brighton

Full Time Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Full Time Salary: £34,700.09 - £36,635.38 dependent on experience

Responsibilities

About the role: 

Recruit a team of volunteers to support staff in engaging with service users who are rough sleeping. Lead on service user involvement/development, recruiting new members, developing pathways/group work, leaflets and other duties relating to the involvement of the service user.Lead on peer support, including the recruitment of peer support workers and peer mentor volunteers, to embed peer support within the service.Working in collaboration with service manager and staff team in order to identify meaningful opportunities for volunteers Working collaboratively and reflectively with the assigned Regional Volunteering Lead and other Volunteering Leads across the organisation Developing internal and external links in order to attract volunteers Training and supporting other member of the service team in volunteer management Training colleagues in how to support and supervise volunteers, providing direct line-management supervision when required Building a strong relationship with the local Regional Volunteering Lead Supporting the welfare and wellbeing of volunteersworking with the service manager as and when there may be issues with a volunteers conduct Creating and supporting a positive culture of volunteering within the service

 

About you: 

 

Experienced in recruiting, training and managing volunteers Aware of the challenges faced by the people using our servicesAble to deliver learning and training to othersAccomplished written and verbal skills and a high degree of IT competencyCapable, committed, and influential leader
