A bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, electronics engineering, computer engineering, automotive engineering, or a related field and 1 year of experience in the job offered or 1 year of experience designing, building and commissioning automotive tooling and processes. Also requires 1 year of experience: managing tooling projects; and developing EOL equipment.
We are offering a salary of $73,424.00 - $158,099.04/yr.

What you’ll be able to do:
VOME VIS Tooling Engineer - positions offered by Ford Motor Company (Dearborn, Michigan). Position reports to Dearborn, MI office. Company offers flexible work from home schedule, but in-office work is required and individual must live within commuting distance of stated office. Develop and buy off final assembly tooling for all programs while being embedded at the tooling vendors from PA to MPT handoff. Lead bi-weekly Tier I supplier status meetings at assigned supplier facilities. Utilize a matrix for tracking design, build and install issues with resolution timing. Interface with Advanced Feasibility team to ensure design inputs into required DVAs are accurate and use DVAs and other statistical tools to drive tooling design. Verify design inputs allow to build with required FTT, JPH and capability. Interface with Safety, Controls, Plant and Ergo teams to ensure Global Vehicle Operating System Standard (GVOSS) and ergo standards are met. Ensure that the Implementation team, Plant, Controls, Safety, and Ergo Team(s) are invited to relevant meetings and receive meeting minutes and matrix updates after each meeting from design start through equipment buyoff and shipment. Track Vendor Tool Try-Out (VTTO) Parts as well as FTF components to ensure they are on time to support tool try out builds. Investigate and vet new tooling technologies and vendors working with MTDC, and SMEs.
