Vitalant is seeking a visionary VP of Biotherapies Apheresis Services to drive collaboration across critical areas, including therapeutic apheresis, cellular therapy, stem cell & MNC collections across a national footprint. You’ll lead teams of hospital and community-based professionals, including a mobile nurse and technician corps, ensuring operational excellence and regulatory compliance while optimizing resources.
In this role, you will partner with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to develop and implement strategies for clinical services, growing Vitalants services in the cell and gene therapy space and extending care to more patients where they are. Your leadership will play a key role in managing large-scale projects, ensuring efficient service delivery, and pushing the boundaries of biotherapy innovation.

As the VP of Biotherapies Apheresis, you will get to:
Lead therapeutic apheresis, stem cell, and cellular therapy services, ensuring strategic alignment and operational efficiency.Collaborate with cross-functional teams (operations to include cell processing and manufacturing, IT, HR, finance) to streamline service delivery and improve growth initiatives.Manage SOP development and revisions, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and FDA submissions.Oversee budget management, resource allocation, and large-scale project execution to drive clinical service success.Evaluate and implement new products, devices, and methodologies for enhanced service efficiency.Foster partnerships with external stakeholders and regulatory bodies to advance biotherapy innovations.Provide leadership to hospital and community-based nursing and technical teams, ensuring excellence in patient care. Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred).BB, RN, CABP or equivalent certification preferred.8+ years of relevant experience managing apheresis processes, working closely with donors, patients, nurses, and technicians. 5+ years in leadership.Strong understanding of healthcare operations and compliance regulations.Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage large-scale projects.Exceptional communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.Ability to travel up to 25%.
