VP, Commercial Banker

      

This individual will manage a portion of the existing commercial portfolio for Thrivent Federal Credit Union in addition to achieving the personal business objectives as outlined by the SVP Business Development. Clients are small to mid-level for-profit and some not-for-profit entities who seek general business financing with an emphasis on real estate financing in a number of states. Position includes portfolio monitoring, business development/sales, analyzing complex financial information, designing loan structure, authorizing and/or recommending approval of loans with a high degree of complexity.

         

          

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Develop and manage personal production activity to ensure sizeable personal production goals and group goals are met or exceeded.Properly structure potential credits.Analyze financials, write up loan presentations and sponsor approvals to the SVP Business Development and credit committees as required by the credit union lending policy.Ensure all commercial loans are made in compliance with the credit union's loan policy.Make onsite visits to businesses to inspect operations and/or monitor collateral.Provide extensive portfolio maintenance including risk rate changes, troubled loan monitoring, and execute action plans from the SVP Business Development and credit committees.Refer business to other credit union business lines and to Thrivent Financial for Lutherans.

Required Job Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in business, finance or related field.7 to 15 years lending experience with a minimum of 5 years of business lending experience. Not-for-profit, SBA and construction lending a plus.Strong background in commercial real estate lending.Ability to independently analyze complex financial reports and structure credit requests.

The applicable salary or hourly wage range for this full-time role is $76,132.00 - $103,001.00 per year, which factors in various geographic regions. The base pay actually offered will be determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to, location, relevant experience, skills, and knowledge, business needs, market demand, and other factors Thrivent deems important.
