Are you a legal expert specializing in asset-based finance?
PGIM, Inc. is looking for an experienced asset-based finance lawyer with asset management and securities experience to support PGIM Fixed Income (the public fixed income asset management unit within PGIM, Inc.). The successful candidate will be based in Newark, N.J. and will join a global team of 13 lawyers supporting PGIM Fixed Income’s asset management business. On June 30, 2024, PGIM Fixed Income had approximately $805 billion in assets under management.
The current EWA for this position is Hybrid and requires on-site presence on a reoccurring basis as determined by the business. We will provide additional details relative to the specific number of days you are expected to be on-site.
What you can expect:
providing day-to-day legal advice and support for PGIM Fixed Income’s securitized products group in connection with private asset-based finance transactions (e.g., capital solutions, consumer loans, renewables, mortgages and specialty finance)structuring and forming fund vehiclesreviewing and negotiating complex deal documentation and confidentiality agreementsproviding advice with respect to operations, syndication and trading issuesadvising on related investment management issuesproviding advice regarding various regulatory mattersadvising on debt finance and lending transactions as the need arisesclose collaboration with investment and business professionalsmanaging outside transaction and fund formation counselWhat you’ll need:
5+ years of relevant and sophisticated experience as a lawyer in a law firm, investment bank or investment managerSignificant and substantial legal experience in the areas of asset-based finance/securitized products/structured finance or related areas of private credit (including the various asset-based finance asset classes described in the Job Description)Stellar project management skills, including the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and operate independently in a fast-paced environmentExcellent judgment, including the ability to provide pragmatic advice and raise issues when appropriateAbility to collaborate with clients, colleagues and corporate partners at all levels, including senior managementAdmitted to practice in N.J. (or be able to obtain a N.J. in-house counsel license as required)It would be a plus if you had knowledge and experience of:

The salary range for this role is from $210,700.00 to $285,100.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills.
