Job Description

AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Vice President, Strategy Leader for immediate employment in the New York Metropolitan area within the Program Management Business Line (PgM). This position will be based out of the NY/NJ AECOM offices. The VP will work in continuing collaboration with executives in the New York Metropolitan area and overseeing staff performing program and project/construction management.

Responsibilities include:

Provide industry leadership in program and construction management; be thought leader on all matters of program and construction management, particularly with outside parties.Implement strategic pursuits: GNG, staffing, pricing, etc.Develop and execute comprehensive business development strategies to expand AECOM's market share in the construction management sector.Implement proposal strategies, including leading the development of high-quality, competitive bids for major construction projects.Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, contractors, regulatory agencies, and industry partners.Oversee multiple large-scale construction projects simultaneously, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.Lead and mentor project teams, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.Implement and maintain robust risk management strategies across all projects, including regular risk assessments and mitigation planningDrive the adoption of cutting-edge technologies and methodologies to enhance project efficiency and effectiveness.Ensure compliance with all relevant local, state, and federal regulations, as well as AECOM's internal policies and procedures.Develop and implement standardized project management processes and best practices across the organization.Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members to promote professional growth and development.Collaborate with other AECOM business lines to identify cross-selling opportunities and deliver integrated solutions to clients.Represent AECOM at industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to enhance the company's reputation and visibility in the construction management field.Prepare and present regular reports to senior management on project progress, financial performance, and strategic initiatives.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelors Degree in Architecture plus 12 years of relevant experience, including 4 years of leadership.Must have New York Agency and Amtrak experience 

Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s degree in Civil Engineering/Construction Management.                                                                  LEED Accredited Professional.OSHA 30 and NYC DOB 4-Hour Scaffold Training.Extensive existing client relationships with Dormitory Authority of the State of New York and Amtrak Extensive existing client relationships as well as a strong market profile are essential.Demonstrable team building and influencing skills; unquestioned integrity; and the experience, confidence, and stature to effectively address major client needs and challenges.
