Vice President, Global Field Marketing

The VP of Global Field Marketing will be a key driver in Fastly’s success by spearheading innovative marketing strategies that drive growth in both existing and new markets. You will partner closely with Sales leadership teams across each region to build and evolve marketing plans that drive pipeline for sales and acquire new customers for the business. You will lead a team of global marketers who are responsible for executing region-specific strategies and investment plans across Fastly’s markets worldwide.

Drive growth in opportunities and pipeline for sales: New customer acquisition Existing customer expansions Customer Intimacy and Preference

What You’ll Do: 

Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy aligned with Fastly's overall business goals, and regional / segment market opportunities Identify market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to inform marketing strategies. Work closely with the Sales team and leadership to ensure marketing efforts convert into real opportunities down the funnel Build a sustainable, scalable, repeatable growth engine that will help accelerate Fastly’s business Lead and coach teams high performance teams across geographies Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, sales development, and product, to drive growth Build a culture of rapid experimentation, creativity and ability to be on the forefront of growth innovation. Collaborate with marketing operations and campaign management to conceptualize and test new experimental campaigns that can help drive revenue at higher efficiency as we scale Be the trusted voice of truth about what’s working in growth and what isn’t Understand and improve Fastly’s funnel and unlock additional opportunities to scale Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) that measure both marketing and sales effectiveness, providing regular reports on the overall impact on pipeline and bookings. Use data-driven insights to identify opportunities for improvement, optimize campaigns and processes for growth Develop and manage marketing budget, allocating resources effectively to maximize return on investment (ROI)

Team Specific Responsibilities: 

Field Marketing:

Event engagement in-person / virtual / hybrid Fastly, partner and 3rd party events Pre- and post-event GTM alignment ABM marketing / SDR / sales integrated plays, aligned to biggest growth opportunities per target account Local demand generation

Growth Marketing:

Collaborate with Marketing and Sales Operations to develop and execute growth plays ICP + intent Key decision maker career lifecycle tracking Complementary technology partner plays Competitive Creative experimentation, analytical optimization to increase ROI and LTV

What We’re Looking For: 

15 + years of experience leading growth marketing at multiple technology companies Proven experience in field marketing and growth marketing within the technology or cloud services industry Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a track record of building and motivating high-performing marketing teams located throughout North America, EMEA and APAC Exceptional communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across different departments and regions Demonstrated success in developing and executing marketing strategies that drove new customer acquisition and customer expansion in a high growth multi-product company Strong analytical skills and experience: developing a culture of creative experimentation and analytical optimization Constantly raising the bar, seeking ways to achieve next quarter’s and next year’s goal A strong bias to action and sense of curiosity Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field; MBA preferred

Work Hours: 

This position will require you to be available during core business hours. 

Work Location & Travel Requirements: 

This is a hybrid position and is open to the following office locations:

San Francisco, CA - working from our SF office 3 days/week. 

Fastly currently embraces a largely hybrid model for most roles which allows employees flexibility to split their time between the office and home. 

This position will require travel as required by your role or requested by your manager.

Salary:

The estimated salary range for this position is $296,544 to $370,680. 

Starting salary may vary based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as experience, skills, qualifications, and location.

This role may be eligible to participate in Fastly’s equity and discretionary bonus programs.
