VP, Global Marketing, Communications & PR

Primary Responsibility:

Lead the global evolution and execution of Americold’s marketing, communications, and public relations strategies. This role will connect our brand to our audiences through storytelling and strategic marketing initiatives. Additionally, it will oversee communications, public relations, and community relations to ensure they are consistent and reflective of the organization’s strategic vision both internally and externally.

What you’ll Do

Marketing:

Brand (Who We Are): Evolve the global Americold Brand Platform, including Mission, Purpose, Commitment Themes, Brand Personality, and Values. Customer (Who We Serve): Define and segment global AMC customers based on category, channel, and geography. Solution (What We Do): Define and segment the solutions we offer, including value proposition, target customers, and target geographies. Channel Strategy/Management: Design and develop global brand positioning strategy. Determine ideal media partners and annual engagement plans. Establish strategies for digital marketing campaigns (email/SEO). Content Strategy/Management: Develop global content strategies for presentation decks, proposal documents, and ad-hoc discussions. Event Strategy/Management: Develop strategies for global events, including trade shows, industry events, and proprietary customer events. Budget Management: Develop and manage the overall Marketing budget. Customer Engagement: Manage the annual Customer Engagement Survey through Gallup or other providers.

Communications:

Lead and execute internal and external communications strategies. Partner with Investor Relations on earnings releases and investor communications. Work with media outlets to publish company information. Implement social media strategies and grow the online supporter base. Lead communications during crisis management events.

Public Relations:

Develop and implement public relations strategies and campaigns. Direct engagement and communication with media on behalf of the company. Coordinate all public relations activities and events. Manage media inquiries and interview requests. Create content for press releases, speeches, and other PR-related material. Partner with Human Resources on company projects and initiatives.

What Experience and Education You Need

Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field. Minimum 10 years of progressive marketing experience. Minimum 5 years of marketing/communication leadership experience. Minimum 7 years of experience in the design, development, and execution of communications programs. Experience in branding, brand design/development, and brand management. Strong command of Microsoft Suite. Knowledge of internet and social media as marketing tools. Superior communication skills with all levels of the organization. Excellent project management skills. Strong experience in crisis management.
