About This Job
The VP, Marketing Operations will be responsible for developing and implementing the processes, tools, and infrastructure necessary to support and effectively achieve key marketing priorities. Reporting to the Head of Marketing Operations, this role collaborates closely with marketing leadership on strategic and operational initiatives, project planning and management, budgetary guidance, and shared procedural oversight to optimize marketing operational effectiveness.Responsibilities:
Operations Team Management
Lead and activate a team of operational and creative specialists across project and enterprise operations measuring performance, ensuring effectiveness, and instilling accountability in execution of tasksSupport senior leadership (FVP+) in regular operational analyses and offered insightful recommendations for improved team performance across Commercial & Securities, Consumer, and Enterprise Marketing groupsProject Operations and Oversight
Identify and implement project management tools and technologies to enhance team efficiency and track progress across campaigns and initiativesProvide managerial oversight, refinement and scoring of project operational best practices and behaviors to consistently measure and upgrade cross-functional performanceProblem-solve the effective prioritization and balancing of shared resource workload against input project plans and forecasts delivered formally via BU Steering Committee meetingsProcess Optimization and Systematizing
Drive process improvements to introduce further efficiencies and scalable execution across the marketing organization and partnering departments such as Procurement, Accounting & Finance, OCEO, and Consumer and Commercial & Securities BU’sUtilize CPI methodologies and techniques to develop and deliver systematized procedures promising reliable, repeatable cross-functionality backing marketing goals and initiativesBudget and Vendor Invoice Management
Monitor department budgets and deliver regular expense reporting in support of strategic financial decision-making, liaising with finance and accounting to navigate any charges in question and optimizing run rate varianceFacilitate reliable invoice processing procedures for multitude of Commercial & Securities, Consumer and Enterprise vendors ensuring accurate receipt and timely payment of invoicesStakeholder and Leadership Collaboration
Act as leading POC for partnering departments including Finance, Legal, Procurement and Compliance to align execution of marketing efforts with enterprise shared service processes and protocolsProvide executional oversight of regular requirements defining Axos Managerial Framework including quarterly MAPs, BTC, Process & Procedure Documentation, etc.Requirements:
10+ years of experience in marketing operations and/or marketing strategy. Experience in the financial services industry, B2B & B2C, and/or marketing agency experience is a plus3+ years of experience managing multiple direct reportsExperience with project management tools and creative collaborative workflows. Direct Workfront experience is a major plusExperience managing budgets, departmental and marketing campaign, and processing vendor invoices.
