VP, Regional Risk Engineering Services Manager

KEY OBJECTIVE:            

Chubb Risk Engineering Services (RES) is seeking a VP, Regional RES Manager for the Canada Region, based in Toronto. This position reports to the SVP, North America RES Field Operations Manager and collaborates with regional leadership. The Regional RES Manager oversees all aspects of Property Casualty and Equipment Breakdown Risk Engineering. Key responsibilities include conducting risk evaluations, providing client services to support Chubb business units and industry practices, and managing resource allocation within the region.

The Regional Manager serves as the link between RES Headquarters strategy and regional operations, working with the Field Operations Manager to define tactics that align with the strategic business plan. Success hinges on effectively utilizing RES resources at both the regional and Headquarters levels.                                                                                                                               

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:                                                                                                                                   

Develop and implement strategies to enhance customer engagement, risk evaluation, client service, quality, resource management, and technical skill development in Property, Casualty, and Equipment Breakdown Risk Engineering. Manage workflow based on relevant business variables. Assess the quality and effectiveness of regional deliverables. Maintain oversight on key account risk evaluations to ensure quality and service is met.  Oversee the performance management process, including merit, bonus, equity, and performance differentiation. Maintain efficient, cost-effective operations to meet expense control targets. Drive participation on all projects to implement RES and Regional Branch business plans. Ensure alignment with regional Chubb underwriting partners. Facilitate effective communication between RES and the producer network. Ensure compliance with licensing and credentialing requirements. Engage with the marketplace to address external stakeholder needs effectively. Support the deployment and adoption of RES system applications. Bachelor's degree, with a focus on Engineering, Safety Engineering, Risk Management, or a related field. A Professional Engineer (PE) license is highly desirable. Minimum of five (5) years of management experience.Commitment to continuous professional development, demonstrated through designations such as MS, ASP, CSP, ARM, etc., considered an asset.Experience in branch leadership and a strong understanding of Risk Engineering Services, Commercial Insurance, and Major Accounts operations, with a proven ability to develop tactical plans for maximum returns.Advanced proficiency in Chubb leadership competencies is essential.Strong track record of leading and managing a team through changes while effectively communicating across all relevant stakeholders. Relevant and broad Commercial experience including a firm understanding of industry challenges, products, distribution, regulatory oversight, and compliance. Success in leading, coaching, and developing collaborative teams, fostering engagement amongst all members, and valuing diverse perspective.
