About This Job
The Relationship Manager in the Real Estate Lender Finance (RELF) business is responsible for driving growth within the RELF portfolio by managing new lending opportunities directly with existing clients. The Relationship Manager will be responsible for the sourcing, underwriting, and decisions for new opportunities ensuring appropriate procedures, documentation, and reporting.Responsibilities:
Lead Relationship Management Activities to ensure best-in-class customer service for the entire the RELF client baseCommunicate directly with clients on a regular basis to develop knowledge of client and market conditions to expand business opportunitiesManage the asset pledge process by pre-screening transactions for appropriateness for Axos’ RE credit and risk parameters. Request additional due diligence information to assess credit and collateral profile -Utilize analytical programs and RE industry expertise in this functionProactively maintain awareness of portfolio performance and identify potential risks and opportunities with specific loans, including through monitoring CRE news and other industry sources of informationPresent recommendations to senior management for improvements/modifications to existing loan structures to increase portfolio utilizationSupport the origination functions of the RELF lending team by evaluating potential loan collateral to ensure a seamless transition after onboardingLead team of analysts to execute on new business initiativesCross-sell the Bank’s other products and services, referring customers to appropriate staffProvide expertise and review of new/expanded credit programs, credit policies, and ad-hoc projects related to continuous improvement, scalability, and/or operational efficienciesRepresent the Bank at industry forums, conferences, and client meetings. Travel as frequently as needed or as directed in order to execute on assigned dutiesQualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field5+ years' direct experience in underwriting or credit with commercial real estateStrong experience in client-facing rolesManagerial experienceAxos Employee Benefits May Include:
