We are looking for a self-motivated professional to pursue new defined contribution plan sales opportunities in the Mid-Market segment ($10m-$150m). As a Vice President of Sales, this individual will be responsible for prospecting, managing and winning business in a designated territory, and promoting cross-engagement opportunities. This individual will partner with Large Market sales and Consultant Relations professionals within their territory to develop relationships with key plan sponsors, investment advisors, and retirement plan consultants.
Identify, pursue and sell to retirement plan prospects with an emphasis on Mid-Market ($10m-$150m plans) plansWork within a team structure to identify, develop and maintain relationships with key prospects, advisors, and consultantsDevelop and manage sales opportunity pipelinePlay lead role in managing the sales process for all assigned sales opportunities Provide all required and requested documentation for active sales opportunitiesCollaborate with internal business partners in pursuit of new businessCoach and mentor selling team members for optimum presentation and sales effectivenessNegotiate services with consultants and plan sponsors Understand and communicate the breadth of Schwab servicesIdentify leads for other Schwab business lines (i.e. Stock Plan Services)Achieve monthly territory development activity goals Maintain current and accurate data in SalesforceProvide timely updates to Sales management and Retirement Plan Services leadership upon requestWhat you haveSelf-motivated, enthusiastic individual who demonstrates a high degree of personal integrity, resilience, and honestyExhibits professionalism, confidence, accountability, and respect for others with each interactionClient service focus and a track record of exceeding expectationsExcellent listening, communication, and interpersonal skills Competence leveraging technology to interact and present virtuallyAbility to position services and develop creative solutions to positively influence decision-making and outcomesCapacity to develop relationships and interact with different level individuals within an organization, including executive or management level focusEffective organizational skills to handle multiple assignments simultaneously, manage through issues, and meet deadlinesClient facing service or intermediary sales experience Familiarity with advisors and benefit consultants within defined territoryQualified and non-qualified plan marketplace knowledge and competitor insightExperience with Salesforce CRMBachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; may have postgraduate and/or certificationSeries 7 and 63 licenses condition of employment
In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.
