What Sourcing Management contributes to Cardinal Health
Global Sourcing is responsible for creating and managing diverse strategic supplier partnerships that drive enterprise value with innovation, best cost and competitive advantages that benefit customers, suppliers and patients. Develops and executes strategic plans by leveraging market intelligence, industry knowledge and cross-functional collaboration. Competitive advantage is created through supplier selection and management contract negotiation, supply chain optimization and risk mitigation.
The primary focus of this team in Ireland involves managing international sourcing contract activities on a global scale. It plays a pivotal role in the global operation of Pharmaceutical & Specialty Solution segment in Cardinal Health. This is an exciting opportunity to join a global leader in the healthcare industry and help strengthen its global presence.
This leader will be accountable for ensuring alignment across these areas, effectively navigating a matrixed environment, and engaging key stakeholders to drive collaboration and decision making on all critical business matters. This leader will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with Irish regulations.
Responsibilities
Purchasing Contract Management: Oversee the authorization, execution, and monitoring of purchasing contracts with suppliers, ensuring alignment with company objectives and compliance with local regulations. Collaborate with Irish BoD (Board of Directors) to develop and implement procurement strategy and objectives. Collaborate closely with US team on maintaining strong relationships with suppliers. Inventory Demand Planning: Participate in demand forecasting and inventory planning processes, optimizing stock levels and mitigating risks related to supply chain disruptions. Develop and implement guidelines on inventory planning parameters and exceptions, as well as collaborate with US team in developing new product go-to-market approach. FP&A: Lead financial planning and analysis efforts, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting to support both the Ireland team and US leadership. Accounting: Oversee vendor management, including impact of adjustments to accounts payables, and payments to vendors. Ensure accurate and timely financial statements in compliance with Irish accounting standards and corporate policies. Proactively collaborate with the US-based leadership team to align Irish operations with global business objectives. Act as a liaison between the Irish team and corporate functions in the US, ensuring transparent communications and timely execution of priorities. Attract, develop and retain talent, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration and high performance.Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Supply Chain, or related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred. 15+ years of proven experience in leadership roles with oversight of procurement, sourcing, financial planning & analysis, accounting.Strong negotiation skills, balancing business objectives and stakeholder interests to achieve optimal results.Demonstrated track record of managing cross-functional teams and rive results in a fast-paced, global organization. Strong understanding of Irish financial regulations and business practices.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across cultures and time zones. Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the experience working in a highly matrixed multinational organization.What is expected of you and others at this level
