Overview:

The Vice President of SRE Operations will lead and manage all aspects of the company's SRE operations team into the era of AI Driven Operations, responsible for the uptime of IT platforms, enterprise monitoring and observability tools, fault management, tools utilized by the Network Operations Center (NOC) to monitor the T-Mobile vast 5G network, ITSM Tools and IT SRE transformation.

Key Responsibilities:

T-Mobile is embarking on AI Driven Operations journey and this role plays a pivotal role in providing the vision, mission and execution.

IT Stability: Provide leadership to ensure stability across the IT organization by driving accountability, communication, and leadership.

SRE Transformation: Drive the adoption and transformation of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices across the IT organization.

Enterprise Monitoring and Observability: Manage and oversee all enterprise monitoring and observability tools to ensure optimal performance and reliability.

Fault Management: Implement and maintain robust fault management processes to quickly identify and resolve issues.

Network Operations Center (NOC) Tooling: Provide and manage all tooling utilized by the NOC to ensure efficient operations.

IT Operations Support: Provide end-to-end architecture support for IT Operations.

IT Tools Management: Manage IT-specific tools to support various operations and processes.

CMDB Governance & Maturity: Lead and manage the governance and maturity of the CMDB (Configuration Management Database).

ITSM Solutions: Deliver world-class IT service management (ITSM) and CMDB solutions that enhance stability, security, ease of use, and speed of delivery.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.

10+ years of experience in IT operations management, with a focus on enterprise monitoring, fault management, and architecture governance.

Proven leadership experience in managing IT teams and driving organizational stability and accountability.

Strong knowledge of IT service management (ITSM) and configuration management database (CMDB) solutions.

Experience with decommissioning legacy systems and executing data center exits.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to drive SRE transformation and adoption within an IT organization.

Base Pay Range: $239,100 - $323,500

Corporate Bonus Target: 50%

The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the role. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on various factors, such as qualifications and experience, so the actual starting pay will vary within this range. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employee’s eligible earnings in the prior year.
