Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Creates viable, measurable, and realistic business opportunities & strategic partnerships with new and existing domestic and global partners that meet or exceed the ROI thresholds of the organization and align with the long-term strategic planIdentifies key capital projects, joint ventures, potential M&A targets, and other strategic partnership opportunitiesActs as a critical advisor to the CSO on essential changes in the competitive landscape, global marketplace, and external business environmentEngages external and internal business, finance and industry experts to learn and influence business investments, remaining alert, proactive, and forward-thinking about opportunities and risks in the industry, and long-term strategic development planning for all propertiesKey driver of company development opportunities, assisting in financial structuring of potential opportunities, exploring domestic and international expansion, as well as management and development dealsConsistently assesses and challenges company positioning and strategy in the global marketplace and relevance to guests to maintain a competitive edgeDrives the development of strategic investment opportunities for the organization, while adhering to the vision set by the CSOFacilitates strategic developments execution by working collaboratively within the organizationEnsures that strategic developments are completed at various levels to achieve desired resultsOversees the qualitative and quantitative analysis of all opportunities, and creates compelling and professional presentations and “pitch decks”Assists in the management, drafting, and assembly of RFPs related to new opportunitiesDevelops and maintains strong relationships with the lending community and 3rd party capital investorsDevelops, motivates, and retains top talent by effectively leading team members and applying performance management and talent development processes

Secondary Duties and Responsibilities:

Brings focus and discipline to the decision-making process by clarifying issues, analyzing options, making recommendations and developing implementation plansInfluences on a global and virtual stage, demonstrating executive presence, poise, an approachable style, and inspiring confidenceBridges cultural boundaries and norms to overcome barriers and improve outcomesWorks collaboratively with key internal and external leaders, partners, suppliers, and customersEnsures that decisions are being made throughout the organization that are aligned with the strategy and reality creating desired resultsIdentifies strategic risksPlays an active role in strengthening and maintaining the management and governance culture and practices that reflect the organization's core values. Demonstrates confidence, discipline, and professionalism.Effectively and collaboratively works at and within all levels of the organization from the C-Suite down to front line team membersDiscusses difficult subjects that others are hesitant to bring up and challenges thinking to resolve issues that are barriers to agreement and action

Minimum Education and Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Real Estate or a relevant field; MBA or CFA preferredFive to ten years’ leadership experience working on corporate development, strategic planning, investment banking, or private equity in the casino gaming, leisure and hospitality sectorExperience leading major initiatives for, or leading a business in, casino gaming, hospitality,  entertainment, real estate or related field. Must have multi-faceted and multi-jurisdictional business operations experience. International and real estate development experience preferredDeep knowledge and appreciation of technology and human capitalExcellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to represent the organization internally and externally across a wide range of stakeholders and constituenciesDemonstration of candor and tact and an authentic commitment to mutual respectRelationship builder with the ability to find common ground, build consensus, and strengthen the collaboration among diverse stakeholders across the organization and beyondConfident and able to make quick and effective decisions as needed and work in an agile environment.Strong community awareness and astutenessAble to apply a variety of strategic frameworks to analyze problems and to guide and develop solutionsExcellent financial modeling skills, including sensitivity analysis, and complex ROI scenarios with various competitive market analysisMust be an expert in creating and presenting compelling “pitch decks” and other executive-level presentationsSkilled in translating and communicating complex topics in various forums to effectively inform and influence the targeted audienceAble to successfully navigate in a fast-paced, outcome-driven, and entrepreneurial environmentAptitude for ‘setting up the problem’ managing projects against tight timelines, and working well in teamsFocus on the big picture and provide insightful, creative solutionsAdept at prioritizing among competing needs and opportunitiesHas an effective balance of practical and analytical processes and a visionary approachExcellent skills in Microsoft Office Suite
