VP, Supply Chain Operations

The VP, Supply Chain Operations is responsible for the development and implementation of Charter’s enterprise-wide Supply Chain policies, planning, organizing, directing, control, and oversight of the activities of all the insourced and outsourced Distribution Centers. This role is responsible for driving strategic initiatives and transformational long-term and short-term plans. This position is also responsible for the oversight and performance of all functions within Distribution including Shipping, Receiving, Warehousing, Logistics, Inventory Control and distribution related Information Technology.


Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience. Develop programs and policies to create a competitive advantage in Charter’s supply chain function. Develop and implement key business metrics to track/trend the performance of the supply chain as well as create an early-warning system. Ensure the Distribution Center operations are optimized, properly equipped, staffed and maintained and that effective safety and security programs are in place. Interact with key business leaders to understand business needs and develop effective and efficient response plans. Direct the inventory & warehouse management and fulfillment functions for capital equipment. Develop programs / policies to leverage logistics to achieve competitive advantage through the following; data analysis to create and monitor Distribution Center processes for constant improvements and performance standards. Coach, develop, train, manage, and motivate the Supply Chain operations team to ensure effective execution of organizational goals functions.

Required Skills/Abilities and Knowledge

Ability to read, write, speak and understand EnglishSupply chain and Logisitcs management skills including forecasting, budgeting and planningKeen business acumenStrong analytic, organizational, and problem solving skillsAbility to work well under pressure, handle multiple priorities, and make deadlinesStrong interpersonal and communications skills

Required Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain or related field, or equivalent experience

Required Related Work Experience and Number of Years

Inventory control, supply chain, planning & forecasting experience– 10+Distribution Center management experience or equivalent – 8-10+

Working Conditions

Office environment Travel Required
