About the role:

We are seeking a strategic and visionary leader to head the Technical Product Management group within our Data & Analytics team. This leader will define, prioritize, and execute the product strategy for data platforms, analytics, and reporting capabilities. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, cross-functional leadership experience, and the ability to align product development with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

 

Product Strategy & Roadmap:

Define and own the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for data platforms, analytics, and reporting.Prioritize product features and enhancements based on business value, market trends, and internal customer needs.Develop a long-term product vision aligned with Gartner’s business goals and growth strategy.

 

Cross-Functional Leadership:

Lead cross-functional teams, including data engineering, analytics, and IT, to drive product innovation and delivery.Effectively communicate product plans, priorities, and progress to stakeholders, ensuring alignment across the organization.

 

Technical Oversight:

Collaborate with engineering teams to design scalable, secure, and high-performance data solutions.Ensure data quality, governance, and integrity across all data products and platforms.Ensure architectures are optimized for performance, cost-efficiency, and scalability in a multi-cloud environment.

 

Stakeholder Engagement:

Act as a liaison between business units and technical teams, gathering and synthesizing requirements from internal stakeholders.Translate complex business requirements into clear and actionable technical specifications.Regularly manage stakeholder expectations by providing transparent updates, addressing concerns, and incorporating feedback into the product development process.

 

Agile Methodologies:

Lead prioritization discussions, managing speed, quality, and scope trade-offs.Lead the adoption and implementation of Agile and Scrum practices to ensure efficient product development cycles.Facilitate sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives, and stand-ups to maintain project momentum and delivery cadence.

 

People Leadership & Development:

Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of 20+ product managers and technical experts.Drive the maturity of the product management function within the Data & Analytics team, enhancing best practices and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.Provide strategic direction, performance feedback, and career development opportunities for team members.

 

Qualifications:

10+ years of product management experience in data platforms, analytics, or related fields.Strong technical background with a deep understanding of data architectures, cloud-based solutions, and advanced analytics tools.Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams and delivering complex, scalable data products.Experience implementing Agile and Scrum methodologies in a technical product management environment.Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and manage stakeholders at all levels.Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Gartner believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is 160,000 USD - 217,350 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan. Our talent acquisition team will provide the specific opportunity on our bonus or incentive programs to eligible candidates.
