A Typical Day The Vice President (VP) of UDAAP Compliance is a critical role responsible for ensuring the organization's adherence to Unfair, Deceptive, or Abusive Acts and Practices (UDAAP) state and federal laws and regulations. This role involves proactively identifying and mitigating potential UDAAP risks, reviewing marketing materials and consumer complaints for compliance, enhancing UDAAP monitoring systems, investigating potential violations, and staying informed about regulatory changes and industry best practices. The VP, UDAAP Compliance will: • Review of marketing materials and consumer complaints, ensuring compliance with UDAAP regulations.• Collaborate with other departments, such as Legal, Marketing, Sales, and Customer Service to ensure UDAAP compliance is embedded in all aspects of the business.• Investigate and analyze possible UDAAP violations, such as consumer complaint allegations, and collaborate to develop effective solutions to address them.• Escalate and report identified UDAAP violations to senior management and relevant committees.• Implement measures to prevent and mitigate future UDAAP risks, ensuring compliance.• Stay updated on regulatory changes, including UDAAP regulations, and industry best practices.• Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential UDAAP risks.• Foster the establishment and maintenance of a regulatory framework for fair lending risk management, encompassing various elements such as: policies, procedures, internal controls, monitoring routines, and training initiatives.• Continuously improve monitoring systems to identify and address UDAAP violations.• Uphold the organization's culture and values through actions and behaviors.• Perform other related duties as assigned, needed, or required. What You’ll Bring ● Extensive knowledge of federal and state regulations related to UDAAP.● Strong analytical and risk assessment skills.● Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.● Ability to work independently and collaboratively.● Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.● Experience in financial services, including mortgage marketing, lending and servicing.● Strong business acumen and ability to interact effectively with executive management.● Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in reviewing marketing materials and researching consumer complaints.● Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
