Vice-President, Value-Based and Accountable Care Programs
Job Summary:
We are seeking an accomplished and visionary executive to provide strategic leadership and oversee the operations of our value-based services organization (VBSO). This individual will contribute to driving the organization's mission, fostering collaborative relationships with healthcare providers, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, cost-effective care to improve patient outcomes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare administration, extensive knowledge of value-based care models, and a proven track record of success in managing accountable care initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement the strategic vision and goals for the Accountable Care Organizations, and its associated CIN
- Collaborate with healthcare providers, hospitals, physicians, and other stakeholders to establish effective partnerships and drive the transition to value-based care.
- Lead the development and execution of value-based initiatives, including care coordination, population health management, quality improvement, and cost containment efforts.
- Oversee the financial performance of the Accountable Care Organizations, including budgeting, revenue optimization, and risk management.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement among VBSO staff and participating providers.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and maintain a thorough understanding of evolving healthcare policies and reforms.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with payers, negotiating contracts and payment models that align with the organization's goals in close relationship with the VP, Managed Care and Business Advisory Services.
- Collaborate with data analytics teams to collect, analyze, and leverage data to drive evidence-based decision-making and improve outcomes.
- Represent the system at industry conferences, forums, and other events, actively participating in thought leadership and promoting the organization's value and outcomes-based reimbursement initiatives.
- Provide regular reports and updates to system leaders, presenting key performance indicators, financial metrics, and strategic recommendations.
Qualifications:
- Physician by training, a master’s degree in healthcare administration, business administration, or a related field is a plus
- Extensive experience in healthcare administration, with a focus on accountable care models and population health management.
- In-depth knowledge of value-based care initiatives, alternative payment models, and healthcare reform.
- Proven leadership experience in managing complex healthcare organizations, preferably within an ACO or similar entity.
- Strong financial acumen and experience in managing budgets, revenue optimization, and risk contracts.
- Excellent strategic planning and execution skills, with the ability to drive organizational change and achieve measurable outcomes.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations, compliance requirements, and industry standards.
- Analytical mindset with proficiency in data analysis, interpretation, and utilization to drive decision-making.
- Ability to navigate complex healthcare landscapes, adapt to evolving industry trends, and drive innovation.
