Overview TRC is seeking a VP, Client Engagement to increase the opportunities for TRC to provide services to the utility market. The position requires a strong business development, technical, and financial background and a solid reputation of building and maintaining key client relationships in the energy sector. The position is full-time with a flexible office location and could include working from home. The position reports to the Senior Vice President, Business Development. You will develop the strategy for expanding TRC’s opportunities with utilities. You will also have a leadership role regarding utility client interface/management/relationships. You will work with the members of the Power Delivery Operations technical managers and subject matter experts within TRC’s Power Sector. You will have responsibility for cultivating and maintaining senior level relationships with TRC’s utility clients, expanding brand awareness of TRC in the utility markets while promoting and selling TRC services. The position requires strong business development and client services skills. Responsibilities Develop corporate relationships within the companies targeted by our key and strategic accounts Manage key accounts to achieve revenue growth Understand and articulate our value proposition, positioning us to take advantage of our clients growth strategy Develop and manage sales pursuits and client relationships in the T&D utility market Work with TRC management, business developers and subject matter experts to develop, prioritize, and implement market strategies to achieve greater market penetration Collaborate with TRC management to evaluate potential approaches to new business opportunities and initiatives within the utility market Work to ensure supporting fact sheets, white papers, blog posts, and other lead development and thought leader activities are accurate and timely delivered Support development and execution of a marketing/sales plan for the Utility Market Sector Lead key and strategic client calls and contribute to the exchange of information about activities with those clients using internal tools including CRM and SharePoint Contribute to proposal development efforts with key and strategic clients Qualifications BS/BA in Business, Engineering or Environmental Science; Graduate degree a plus 20+ years of experience in the utility business Personable, with very strong communication skills, and possess the desire to lead an aggressive business expansion in a fast paced and dynamic market Possess in-depth relationships with clients’ decision makers and senior management of renewable energy companies Strong utility relationships Benefits*: TRC offers a competitive benefit package consisting of: Medical, dental, vision, and disability insurance. 401k package that includes both traditional and Roth IRA options and Company match. Compensation: In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors. Other Compensation: Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company’s annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.
